1/350 USS COLORADO, by David Waples

My recently completed 1/350 Virginia Class, Block III submarine as USS Colorado SSN 788.  The Model is from RCSubs from Czechia and is all 3D printed.  It went together great with little fuss.  I painted it with lacquers and weathered with oils.  She’s mounted to 3D printed strongbacks that I had a designer draw for me and I printed them at home on my 3D resin printer.  The base is Alder finished with 4-5 coats (I can’t remember now) of Danish Oil.  This was my first shot at photography since attending the Jeremy Moore school of scale model photography.
