Here again with a couple photos of my latest build. It’s a “Tin Man” themed 1/12 C3PO kit from Bandai with scratch built base.
I stripped the factory finish off the kit parts and then primed it with Mr Surfacer black. That was followed by Alclad Brass with Pale Burnt Metal highlights. Everything was then sealed with a matte top coat. Afterwards came hairspray chipping with Tamiya Dark Copper and Bronze. It was finished with various enamel washes and oil paints for the green verdigris patina.
The base was constructed using pink foam, roots from my yard, and burlap fibers for grass.
Finally, the two little 3D resin birds were hand painted and added on his arm and shoulder.
