I just returned from the Rocky Mountain Hobby Expo. Here are photos of two of my entries…
These were my main entries. They were two 1/72 Type A Ko-hyoteki-class submarines. This started as a group build commemorating December 7th attack on Pearl Harbor. . I then built the version from the Sydney Harbor attack. My model evaluated at the show was the Pearl Harbor version. This took on a life of its own when I decided I wanted to improve the base the model was sitting on. I built my own case and worked with a designer in Romania to design and print a more prototypical handling base than what came with the kit. I’ve included the entry forms for these two models that explains the deep rabbit hole I went down on this project.
