Hey Everyone!  Here’s my painted cockpit. Everything you see here is OOB.  Just careful painting to bring out the details.  The amount of detail that Kotare has captured in the cockpit is like nothing I’ve ever seen in a model kit.  There is just the right amount of detail without being overly complex and complicated to build and paint.

Fit of the parts is excellent and is filled with clever engineering.  The only issue I discovered was the fit of the instrument panel to the cockpit sill.  I had to trim a little off the lower sides of the instrument panel for it to fit.  Other than that, everything fit without any issues.

The speed at which I was able to build and paint the cockpit was due to the engineering.  From soup to nuts (start to finish) it took me about 3 hours to paint everything you see here.  It’s due to the sturdy parts, clever parts breakdown to allow painting and no masking, and quality plastic.  It was simply a joy to build and paint.

That’s about it for the cockpit!  Next up will be the fuselage and wing assembly.  Pics to follow next week.

Happy modeling and get out there and build something!!
