    Lots of progress last couple of days. Once the pilots were done the fuselage came together quickly. Guy in back is at the controls.

    After 31 steps the cockpit is finished. I used AK markers throughout, these are a game changer for me as it speeds up my builds quite a bit. I will admit that I prefer the brush-like tip of the Game Markers better. Now for the pilots.

  • Spitfire TR.8 MT818

    For March Madness I chose the Airfix 1/48 Spitfire TR.9. The build appears straightforward and the detail is superb. I’ve made some progress, painting the cockpit and interior details. I’m modeling the Spitfire I flew in, which is the sole TR.8 built, serial MT818. It will of course be painted in the scheme she wore…

    This is Eduards 1/48 Spitfire Mk.VIII in livery from 155 Squadron in the CBI theatre. This aircraft was flown by Paul Ostrander form Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.  Built out of box except for a resin one peice upper cowl replacement from Eduard.
