Here is my latest build of the 1/48 Monogram P-39 Airacobra.
This was a kit I picked up in a discount store back in the late 80s for 4 bucks.
I built it straight out of the box and used my Silhouette Portrait 3 cutter to cut vinyl masks for the markings. Eduard decals were used for the stencils. I made a simple base using Ammo of Mig Terraform texture paste and a cheap $15 circular base off of Amazon. The model was a tail sitter, so I drilled holes through the bottom of the tires and attached Albion aluminum tubing, which was then glued into the base.
This was a no-stress mojo build and I had a lot of fun building and weathering it.
