A6M3 Hamp

Alongside my P-8 I’ve got a mojo builder — the Tamiya 1/72 A6M3 Hamp (aka Zero). I’m building this one for the Cactus Air Force display our Club doing this year.

I chose to try the AK markers everyone is raving about and yes, I’m going to rave about them as well. The interior is completely painted using the markers. They dry almost instantly and after a 2nd or 3rd coat look almost airbrushed. Certainly good enough for me who usually brush paints interiors of my 1/72 kits.

On top of the paint I applied Tamiya powders. Black diluted in water to use as a wash and deepen the recesses, then white drybrushed to provide highlights.
